The Jaguar XF is an all-new midsize luxury sport sedan with standard V8 power and a blending of tradition with modern style and technology The Jaguar XF is fitted with a stiff new structure that shares some suspension components with the sporty XK coupe and convertible, while the exterior takes inspiration from many historic Jaguar design cues in particular the 1959 Jaguar Mk. II, and combines them with the current enthusiasm for sedans styled to have a coupe-like roof line, some reviewers say that it is one of the most interesting Jaguars to have come along in a very long time.
The XF is available in two engine types, the normally aspirated 4.2 liter V8 which deals 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, and a supercharged version that gets 420 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, sending power to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with manual control accessed through paddles mounted on the steering wheel. One of the XF's more distinctive features is its JaguarDrive gear selector, a small rotary knob that rises out of the center console, replacing the traditional console-mounted shift lever.
Jaguar XF models seat five adults. The XJ builds on the design language of the midsize XF sedan to achieve the look of a real sport sedan. It rides on the same wheelbase as the old XJ in both standard and stretched "L" versions and every variation will be powered by Jaguar's new direct-injection 5.0 liter V8 in various levels. The base XJ will get a normally aspirated version of the engine that deals 385 hp and 380 pound-feet of torque while the midgrade XJ Supercharged adds forced induction to spike output to 470 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque. There is also the top-of-the-line XJ Supersport, which shares its 510 horsepower supercharged V8 with the XFR sport sedan and is capable of powering the car from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than 5.0 seconds.
All three models send their power to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission, and every XJ gets an adjustable suspension similar to that found in the XFR sedan and XKR coupe. The Supersport arrives to enhance the desirability of Jaguar deals.
The XK variations have a naturally aspirated and a supercharged version of the new direct injected 5.0 liter V8 engine. The XK coupe and convertible also now are powered by the same new 5.0 liter V8, that produces 385 hp and 380 pound feet of torque.
